EAS FH Week 2025

EAS FH Week 2025! Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH) remains underdiagnosed and undertreated — and demands urgent action. During FH Week 2025, EAS will spotlight FH across Europe and globally, raising awareness among the public, healthcare professionals, and policymakers.

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the EAS FH Studies Collaboration (FHSC) — now one of the world’s largest collaborative efforts in cardiovascular research, spanning 76 countries, 92 national lead investigators, and over 80,000 individuals living with FH. Together, we have delivered landmark insights that shape clinical care and policy worldwide.
Throughout the week, we will highlight:

  • FHSC milestones – showcasing global progress, national success stories, and landmark achievements over the past decade.Research & publications – the latest findings and expert perspectives from EAS journals and congress sessions.
  • Policy advocacy – with EAS President Prof. Børge Nordestgaard speaking at the European Parliament on 25 September 2025.
  • Lp(a) awareness – highlighting the Brussels Declaration and the urgent call for coordinated testing, awareness, and better care.
  • Webinar – featuring expert talks, a patient perspective from Marwa Sadik, and live Q&A with leading specialists.
  • Paediatric Lipid Working Group – a new initiative to strengthen care, education, and collaboration for children with inherited lipid disorders.
  • Lipid Clinic Network (LCN) – building EU-wide standards for the diagnosis and management of lipid disorders.
